Banff is a very popular locations for working holiday makers as it offers a great social scene with bars, pubs, restaurants.

Banff has a high saturation of Aussies due to is popularity.

The temperature during the summer is lovely but can get nippy as soon as the sun dips behind the mountains. In the winter this location can get down to -20 on a regular basis.

The hotel is mostly looking for skilled/expereinced food & beverage staff.

Baristas – Previous barista experience is great. Cocktail experience is even better.

Bartenders – At least 1 year of solid cocktail experience. Not just pouring beer or mixing Bundy and Cokes, they're looking for more of the “mixologist” type skill set. This doesn’t necessarily need to be from a hotel, but it should be in a professional, high-volume setting.

Restaurant Servers – A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a restaurant environment. Strong wine knowledge is required, otherwise they could be considered for Junior Servers (support staff, hosts)

Event Servers- Ideally with hotel experience

Culinary- ideally candidates who have gone to culinary school or have at least 3 years of cooking experience in higher level restaurants, not fast food type of kitchens.

This employer is world renown so it will look great on your resume. For those looking to climb the management ladder, you will need to stick around for back to back seasons. Should your performance be outstanding you could transfer to an employer in your home country given this property is part of the Accor group.

The TWHC will assist with your first seasons contract. The ball is in your court – we help you get the job, you need to work hard to keep it. Ongoing extension of contracts are based on seasonal performance and at the determination of management, as is housing. The Rimrock operates all year round.
