Sun Peaks’ 4,270 acres are spread across three skiable peaks, each with its unique personality. The three mountains are easily accessible from the village, so explore them all on the same day or stick to the area you love the most. Sun Peaks receives 6 metres of snow annually, and the mountains become covered with light, dry powder that is famous to the interior of BC.
Our ski-through, European-style village is filled with restaurants, cafes, shops, and more! Wander or ski through the pedestrian-only walkway and take it all in. From sushi to schnitzel, bison burgers to grilled salmon, and homemade fudge to fresh baked goods—your taste buds will be pleasantly surprised with plenty of charming cafés and apres adventure destinations. Shop for ski gear or browse boutique shops for apparel, locally crafted jewellery, souvenirs, mementos, and local artwork. Pamper yourself at the spa, visit the hair salon or discover a vast regional beer and wine selection.
In addition to all the mountain’s outdoor activities, shopping and amenities, the village boasts a fitness centre, outdoor skating arena, and a yoga studio.
Our unique location offers employees the opportunity for exploration and adventure both at work and at play. Sun Peaks Resort & Grand Hotel are easily accessible and centrally located within British Columbia. We are a relatively small, vibrant, progressive community that boasts our own K-12 school.
Each department offers a unique experience for anyone looking to start their career or make a life change in a resort environment. Our food and beverage outlets are fun and inviting, boasting different menus using fresh ingredients, and our outdoor operations directly interface with nature and guests. We also have one of the best grooming teams in Western Canada according to our guest reviews. Fresh corduroy in the morning can’t be beaten! And our recently renovated hotel rooms command excellent comments from our guests and are a property our employees are proud to represent. Flexible shift availability in many departments means time at work and still time to play.
With over 300 pillows available, Sun Peaks Resort & The Grand Hotel offers subsidized staff accommodations to seasonal employees, located approximately 3km away from our village core.

This employer is one of our newest partners and they have offered a limited range of roles, mainly in their large hotel. Housekeeping, front desk agent, various food & beverage roles both back and front of house, cashiers etc.
To progress up the management or responsibility ladder at this resort – means doing back to back seasons.
This resort offers a ski pass with your employment
This resort has 4270 acres of skiable terrain. This is Canada’s second largest resort!
Sun Peaks is a member of the ‘Mountain Collective’ group. As a staff member, you would be able use your pass at other resorts nearby like SilverStar or Revelstoke. However, check with your managers as there are typically ‘black out’ periods regarding the use of staff passes….so ‘know before you go’!
Sun Peaks is 45mins from the local large township of Kamloops. This town does have a domestic airport. Vancouver is 5hrs south.
The TWHC will assist with your first seasons contract. The ball is in your court – we help you get the job, you need to work hard to keep it. Ongoing extension of contracts are based on seasonal performance and at the determination of management, as is Housing. If in doubt – ask your manager. Sun Peaks operates a summer operation and should your performance be amazing during your season, you could expect to be asked about extending your contract.
This location, much like Silverstar is at elevation and once here, everything is within walking distance. The mountain is massive and offers loads of skiing and riding options based on the weather that day. Lots of restaurants and bars and their events schedule both summer and winter is increasing!
SunPeaks is more remote compared to other ski resorts and the 45 minute commute to the township of Kamloops can be difficult at times.

Every year we receive many applicants from overseas who have heard about the great employee experience we can offer at Sun Peaks. Word of mouth is our number one source of hire. With over 700 employees in the Winter across the resort and hotel, there are many opportunities across all our departments – some requiring no previous ski area experience, and some requiring more specialist skills. Previous employees love the sense of teamwork and community we offer at Sun Peaks, and of course, the great outdoor playground on our doorstep.
