Last Frontier Heliskiing has two remote locations in Northern British Columbia. The rustic wilderness settings of our lodging appeals to individuals that enjoy nature and winter sports. Throughout the winter season there are opportunities for crew members to take advantage of spare heliski seats on a rotational basis. Please note that our guiding team will only take experienced riders and skiers heli skiing.

Is situated completely off the grid on Highway 37N, some 360km North of Terrace BC. The lodge is surrounded by wilderness and crew are encouraged to make the most of the beautiful setting. Popular recreational activities include snowshoeing and cross country skiing, equipment for which is available free of charge. At Bell 2 Lodge, all staff accommodations are directly on-site and all staff members are taken care of with a complementary meal plan including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Free Satellite internet access is also available to all staff, but the connection speed is very limited due to the remote nature of the lodge.

At our Ripley Creek base in the town of Stewart [310km North of Terrace, BC], staff are accommodated in separate staff housing in close proximity to the guest lodge. Stewart is a very small [population 400] Northern community on the border of Alaska. Crew members are taken care of with a full meal plan that includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wi-fi is available free of charge. The town has limited services including a post office, pizza parlour, small grocery store and liquor store. There are opportunities to visit neighboring Alaska, which is only 2km from the center of town.

For those looking to climb the management ladder, you will need to stick around for back to back seasons.

Access to Heli Skiing/Heli Boarding when Space Permits - (experienced boarders and skiers only).

Endless terrain is a label often thrown around loosely but at Last Frontier it’s the cold truth. At 10,100 square km, our tenure gives us the largest single heli skiing area in the world. To put that into perspective, it’s about four times the average size of a BC heliski area. That kind of size means we have an incredible amount of terrain choice and flexibility. An annual bounty of 15 to 25 meters of snowfall coupled with our northern latitude makes for the kind of deep blower pow you can’t get enough of. Combined with over 1,000+ named runs, the longest topping 2,000 vertical meters, and you start to get an idea of the colossal magnitude. It’s not all about numbers, of course. The real draw at Last Frontier is our diverse variety of terrain: high alpine, massive glaciers, sprawling tree runs, and everything in between all ready to be pillaged. The choice is dizzying — and there are still a few peaks to be claimed.

The TWHC will assist with your first seasons contract. The ball is in your court – we help you get the job, you need to work hard to keep it. Ongoing extension of contracts are based on seasonal performance and at the determination of management.
