Cashier - Summer season

Job Description:

Responsible for all purchase transactions within the food and beverage outlets while maintaining a positive guest experience. The cashier shall perform all required duties in a friendly and professional manner that include but are not limited to removing used dishes, assisting with cleaning duties, and barista duties as required. Cashier duties will also include cleaning duties such as, sweeping, mopping, garbage disposal, sanitizing and cleaning of washrooms.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
  • Maintain and stock product to established par levels
  • Ensure cleanliness & maintenance of all lodge areas at all times including restrooms
  • Prepare quality hot and cold beverage orders quickly and accurately

Job Description: Qualified candidates will have a working knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and its uses. A working knowledge of stocks, sauces, butchering & standard cooking techniques such as grilling, frying, sautéing, poaching, smoking and any other cooking medium needed to execute all types of cuisine. A general knowledge of all ingredients to be utilized in their area of work and knowledge of all health and sanitation practices.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Ensures all food is prepared on clean surfaces (and with clean utensils). Ensure at all time their stations are clean and kept to department standards.
  • Ensures food quality and presentation meets LLSR Culinary Department standards prior to being served. Station responsibilities must be monitored at all times.
  • Ensures all items prepared on their work station are presented in accordance with departmental specifications.
  • Receive and put away any and all product on delivery.
  • Provide assistance to all members of the kitchen as requested in a timely & positive manner.
  • Ensure that assigned work station is ready for service.
  • Abides by all sanitation policies and communicate with the Sous chefs and Chef De Parte when equipment is not functioning properly, if assistance is needed or food pars are low or out.

Job Description: The successful candidate will assist the cooks by keeping all kitchen areas clean and organized, as well as performing a variety of food preparation tasks as assigned.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Wash and clean utensils and dishes, return to the kitchen and make sure they are stored appropriately
  • Clean food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
  • Clean up spillages when they occur and dispose of garbage
  • Ensure proper use of chemical/cleaning products and ensure they are stored appropriately
  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food, as required
  • Maintaining established standards and safe food handling practices

 

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

Job Description:  The Coop Attendant will operate a staff focused grocery store that is an essential service to the health, wellbeing and happiness of our employees while residing in staff housing. Responsibilities associated with the position include assisting with stock placement and merchandising, maintaining general cleanliness throughout the store and ensuring a positive employee experience.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sell merchandise to customers
  • Ensure that steps are taken to ensure the health and safety of customers and staff
  • Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures
  • Stock and face grocery products according to department procedures
  • Generate sales and up sell, when possible
  • Replace used stock, face and rotate current stock and ensure satisfactory inventory levels.

  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all cookware, flatware, small wares, glassware, and cutlery
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of dish room as well as inventory measures
  • Flexibility with scheduled shifts
  • Practice safe handling of all chemicals
  • Monitor chemical levels and dish machine temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
  • Ensure all OH&S practices and policies are being followed
  • Report any OH&S issues to the Sous Chef

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Highly organized & detail oriented
  • Self motivated, can work well in a team as well as independently

Guest Services Attendant / Mountain Greeter - Winter

Position:  Guest Services Attendant / Mountain Greeter

Reports to:  Department Supervisors and Manager

Job Description: The guest services/mountain greeting attendant is a split position that is responsible for providing professional and efficient service to our guests regarding ticket sales and general information both in person and via the telephone. The attendant is responsible for greeting and welcoming guests at the lifts and ensuring that each guest has a valid ticket and/or pass before loading the lifts and/or gondola. The attendant will be required to deal with customer inquiries and complaints, process transactions and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Dealing in a professional manner with customer enquiries, complaints and comments
  • Ticket selling and Season pass sales (including cash/debit/credit transactions and cash out procedures)
  • Switchboard room – includes operating the main resort switchboard, being the central radio/fax/email communications hub for the ski hill, and distributing all internal/external mail.
  • Managing and assisting with lost and found and locker rentals
  • Self-serve ticket kiosk assistance
  • Cleaning of all Guest Services areas and administrative offices
  • Ensure positive guest experience through interaction & satisfaction
  • Ensure that all scanned lift passes are valid
  • Snow/ice removal in the base area
  • Assist the groomers with ski/board racks removal and set-up

Job Description: The successful candidate will assist the housing coordinators in creating a positive living environment for staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall cleanliness of the inside and outside of building
  • Vacuuming and mopping hallways, stairwells, and common areas
  • Cleaning units and moving furniture when needed
  • Maintain clean and organized housekeeping supply closets
  • Maintaining storage and lost and found areas
  • Opening laundry rooms, common rooms, and gym at the appropriate times
  • Report maintenance any maintenance issues promptly
  • Garbage Removal, snow removal, salting and gravelling pathways as needed
  • Provide assistance and or information to tenants and coworkers
  • Operate washing machines and dryers to clean, dry, and press linens
  • Check finished linens, staff uniforms and articles to ensure they have been properly dry-cleaned and/or laundered
  • Record cleaned items on daily laundry check sheets
  • Assemble and bag finished linens for pick up
  • Record damaged or improperly laundered linens

The janitor will be responsible for ensuring that all required tasks are completed thoroughly, on time, and with minimal supervision.

  • Ensure that all common areas, public spaces and washrooms were serviced and cleaned daily by performing general janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, correctly sanitizing benches and countertops and garbage disposal.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms including toilets, sinks mirrors and floors
  • Replenish toilet tissue and soap as needed
  • Remove trash and recycling
  • Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner
  • Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and supplies
  • Restock materials and supplies as needed
  • Assist with bussing duties in lodges during high volume periods
  • Maintain and stock product to established par levels

Job Description: The successful candidate will assist his/her team by keeping all kitchen areas clean, preparing food , controlling stock levels, and maintenance task as assigned per supervisors.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Wash and clean utensils and dishes, return to the kitchen and make sure they are stored appropriately
  • Rotation and receiving of inventory
  • Clean food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
  • Clean up spillages when they occur and dispose of garbage
  • Ensure proper use of chemical/cleaning products and ensure they are stored appropriately
  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food, sandwiches, baked goods, different to go items
  • Maintaining established standards and safe food handling practices
  • Prepare food in accordance with established recipe
  • Study menus and exhibit product knowledge
  • Identify, label, date and store meats, poultry, produce and dairy products correctly and in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Prepare a variety of ingredients, sauces, baked goods based on the Chef’s orders.

  • Operate a guest shuttle on busy days to bring guests from the far end of parking lots

Job Description: Snowmakers are responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of equipment related to snow production, including high pressure air\water-powered and electrically-powered snowmaking guns. Snowmakers must dismantle and transport equipment on a site-by-site basis in accordance with the demands of an ever-shifting production program. A snowmaker reports directly to his/her Foreman.

STAFF ACCOMMODATION

Full-time seasonal employees of the Lake Louise Ski Area (LLSA) are offered affordable, subsidised shared staff accommodation in either company owned housing or a resort-leased property located in and around the Lake Louise area.

All employees are required to sign a Tenancy Agreement outlining the rules and regulations of LLSA Staff Accommodation and are required to pay a security deposit of $200 upon check in, no exceptions.

Staff transportation is provided from all of our accommodations to the resort on a set schedule, and this can take up to 15 minutes to reach Lake Louise Ski Resort from Lake Louise Staff Housing.

When can I start to move into staff housing?

48 hours before your first day of work. The housing office is open seven days a week, and check-in times are between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm. If you are arriving in Lake Louise after 5:30 pm you will need to organize your accommodation for the evening. You must present your criminal record check and picture ID at the time of check-in.
