Your meals are prepared, your beers cold, your tents are made up for your arrival and your party nights are pre-organised. Too easy mate! Zarautz Beachside Surf Camp is waiting. As are all the new friends you’ll meet here! Come hang and make friends with our sick crew from all over the world, sharing travel tales over a beer or seventeen. Everyone’s welcome, from beginners to the most accomplished surf dudes and dudettes. For beginners or those looking to improve, our surf instructors are fun and friendly and surf lessons are included.

The Zarautz Beachside Surf Camp is our little slice of paradise just outside of San Sebastian. It’s a combination of the landscape (mountains and beaches), the intriguing Basque culture, great food, crazy parties (more bars per square metre than anywhere else in the universe), insane waves, and beautiful weather in which to enjoy it all.

Where else in the world are your primary concerns trying not to get too much sun and the temperature of the beer? Where each and every day is a cycle of eating, surfing and drinking, and the nights spent partying and chatting and exploring? Where else can you spend your nights in the thumping nightclubs of San Sebastian, but wake up in nature surrounded by verdant hills, rustling leaves and twittering birds

Feeling brave?! Running Of The Bulls and Zarautz Beachside Surf Camp

Are you keen to run with the bulls at San Fermin, Pamplona? The Running of the Bulls festival officially starts on July 6 2020 and runs through until July 14 with daily Bull runs and nightly street parties. If you’d like to join us there for a few days to party and run screaming from ten-tonne-testosterone-tanked toros.

Why not combine the surf life with the biggest festival San Sebastian hosts in the whole calendar year… Semana Grande translates into the “The Big Week” and that’s exactly what it is. A week of massive street parties with loads of concerts, from rock to pop to hip-hop to jazz, accompanied by the San Sebastian International Firework Competition in the picturesque seaside town on the coast of the Basque Country.

Tour Location

Gran Camping Zarautz Calle Monte Talai Mendi, 20800, Zarautz, Guipúzcoa

We stay 20 minutes outside of San Sebastian at a beautiful clifftop campsite overlooking the surf beach of Zarautz. As far as surf goes, well we’re only a hop skip and a jump away from the finest surf beaches in Europe. And if National Geographic says we’re located in one of the World’s Top 20 Surf Towns, well who are we to dispute it!

Frequently Asked Questions

What should we bring?
Beachwear, something to party in, something warm for the night times, a towel, sunscreen and your camera!
What is the breakfast like?
We like to mix it up: banana pancakes, ham, cheese and mushroom omelettes, poached eggs with bacon and even french toast. Veggies, no worries we cater for you too.
How many people are there in a tent?
Tents fit 2 people, but if you want a little extra room and privacy in case you meet the love of your life, you can pay a €20 surcharge for your own private tent.
And what amenities are offered at the Beach Camp?
We’ve got it all – hot showers, internet, a restaurant, a sidreria (ciderhouse), wine tasting within walking distance, a shop, flushing toilets, chillout area, great views, and the beach a 10 minute downhill walk.
Two of us are vegans, do you cater for this?
We cater for vegetarians, so we can always just remove the animal products and stuff you to the brim with fruits and veggies and starches…..whatever we do, we’ll make a plan for you.
What is the address of the camp?
Gran Camping Zarautz, Calle Monte Talai Mendi, s/n, 20800 Zarautz, Guipúzcoa
What is the night life like in San Seb?
The nightlife in San Seb is a lot of fun and deceptive. You go out for a few pintxos and a couple of bottles of cider and come back at 5am with little memory of the blur of a night you’ve just had in the many little bars and clubs of the town, but damned sure that you had the best time of your life.
