RESERVATION AGENT

OVERVIEW

Start Dates: Early Oct through September (usually early season start dates), depending on the resort
Salary: $16/hour, depending on the resort & previous experience

Description

Be a part of a dynamic in-bound call centre team and assist new and existing resort customers in having the ultimate experience in organising a fantastic ski holiday. Your role will be to describe the resort accommodation options, compare specials, provide airfare options, sell lift passes, rentals, and lessons, and give guests the tools to make the most of their ski holiday.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Direct telephone reservations including accommodation, lift, lesson, rental, shuttle, WestJet & Air Canada flights and any other requested activities or services
  • Direct reservation amendments, additions and cancellations
  • Check and answer direct faxes and emails
  • Transfer all group, wholesaler or owner calls to correct department
  • Ensure accurate information is provided to all clients with respect to the resort’s products and promotions
  • Ensure all bookings made adhere to the resorts payment and cancellation policies
  • Send confirmations, take final payments & run and administer various reports
  • Continual learning of new specials and resort events
  • General office duties
  • Maintain clean and tidy work area
  • Assist Reservations Supervisor with any reasonable requests or tasks
  • Any other reasonable requests as made by the Reservations department Manager

EXPERIENCE

  • Travel agent or call centre experience
  • Clear & polite telephone manner
  • Verbal & written communication skills
  • Microsoft word & excel knowledge
  • Ability & willingness to learn new systems and promotions
  • Team player
