HUT BISTRO WORKER

Salary: Approx $16CAD per hour
Description
Aligned with the Food & Beverage Department, this role is a combination of busser, food station server and cashier rolled into one. This position requires staff to be able to ski/ride at an intermediate level as these restaurant locations are in the alpine areas of resorts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Taking food orders from guests and offering thoughtful menu & meal options in a friendly manner
- Ability to make specialty coffees
- Assist in the delivery and safe storage of food items
- Assist in the preparation & set up of food stations
- Maintain cleanliness and stocking of bathrooms
- Knife and manual machine work (slicers, deep fryer, broiler, griddle and or BBQ)
- Communication food supply/demand with kitchen staff
- Maintain clean and sanitised work area
- Ensure all food safe handling procedures and policies adhere too
- Willingness to assist other departments if required
- Punctual at all times
- Adherence to strict grooming and personal presentation
- MUST be able to ski/ride to an intermediate standard – ski/ride tests will be conducted before the season commencing to ensure individual’s abilities
EXPERIENCE
- Food Safe Certificate or Canadian province equivalent (Cert 1)
- F&B experience or previous cooking/kitchen experience an asset
- Previous customer service experience an asset
- Previous experience in high volume fast paced Food & Beverage location an asset
- Must be self-motivated and positive team player
- Cash handling experience
- Must be at least 19 years of age to serve alcohol
